Back in early 2020, our team realized that it was time to develop a new, effective strategy for the organization.

Already in March, we planned the first measures to develop organizational capacity, which, unfortunately, were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Our youth human rights resource center in Ivano-Frankivsk was established by the Youth Organization “STAN” with the financial support of IM Swedish Development Partner within the project of institutional support “Youth outpost of human rights and solidarity”.

We want to tell you about functioning of our resource center. It has already been two months since its work and policy development started; we also tried our best to make a good comfort zone for more than 10 people – without damaging and destroying each other’s work place.

This is a report for two months of hard work! I’ll tell you what we were so busy with. During this time, we have had many meetings with partners and donors indeed. We worked on the implementation of our projects. But let’s get everything in order.

Welcome to the October-December account of the workand activities of the Youth Human Rights ResourceCenter in Ivano-Frankivsk, created by the YouthOrganization “STAN” with the financial support of IMSwedish Development Partner as part of the projectабо within the project institutional support “Youthoutpost of human rights and solidarity”.

The whole of 2021 was characterized by capacity building and development of the expertise of STAN team members. We felt like a youth outpost of human rights and solidarity in the region, strengthening and developing the organization’s institutional capacity to become an independent agent of change.

Analytical Report. Encouraged Youngsters: Approaches to Business Skills Formation among Young People

The report “Encouraged Youngsters: Approaches to Social Entrepreneurship Skills Formation among Young People” was developed by experts in social entrepreneurship and youth inclusion in decision-making Yaroslav Minkin, Mariya Protsak, Andriy Volyk and Svitlana Zelenska.

This policy brief will help local governments, educational institutions, community organizations and youth initiatives to develop educational programmes to improve business skills among young people from small towns. By using the social enterprise map, children and adolescents can gain relevant knowledge and skills to start their own social businesses or be involved in solving social problems in their own community.

The report was prepared within the framework of the initiative “Encouraged Youngsters. Entrepreneurial Skills and Social School Entrepreneurship”, as part of the project “Support to UNP EaP CSF activities in 2021-2023” implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Advice on Financial Support of the European Union. REPORT OF THE YOUTH ORGANIZATION “STAN” FOR 2022

In 2022, during the first days of the russian military aggression against Ukraine, STAN developed a civil headquarter at the Ivano-Frankivsk train station and encouraged local NGOs to create shelters for IDPs in the Carpathian region.

Nowadays, STAN supports 8 shelters and 3 LGBTQI+ safe spaces, provides people and institutions with humanitarian aid (food, non-food, hygiene) and infrastructural supplies (generators, furniture, household appliances).
